This Way Ahead (TWA) Paid Job Training for Youth

This Way Ahead is a rigorous, work readiness training program for youth between the ages of 16 and 24. Through a partnership with Gap Inc., Cambridge Housing Authority offers intensive customer service workshops led by program coordinators who teach basic employment skills, as well as skills specific to the retail environment. Participants receive a modest stipend for participating in the workshops series.

Draft FY18 MTW Annual Plan Available for Public Comment

The FY18 MTW Annual Plan is now available for public comment.


CHA Launches the Applicant Portal

Beginning on November 15, 2016, CHA will launch the Applicant Portal, a secure, web-based tool for applicants to access, update, and view waitlist information as supplied through a pre-application.

CHA Opening the HCV Section 8 Waitlist

Beginning October 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM, Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) will be accepting online pre-applications for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV/Section 8) Program waitlist for both Tenant-Based (Mobile) and Project-Based vouchers.


Creating Moves to Opportunity (CMTO) Letter to HUD to Support Regional MTW Designation

On August 12, the Creating Moves to Opportunity (CMTO) research team submitted a letter to HUD Secretary Castro to support regional MTW designation for Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) and Boston Housing Authority (BHA).
