A Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) at 362 Green Street, Cambridge Housing in the CHA Board Room. The hearing will solicit comments on the following:
An amendment to the Cambridge Housing Authority’s FY 2017 Annual Plan for the Moving to Work (MTW) Deregulation Demonstration Program. The proposed amendment details the CHA’s plan to submit disposition applications to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under Section 18 of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (as amended) for Jefferson Park Federal and Burns Apartments. CHA has concluded that based upon updated capital needs assessments and existing conditions reports that these two properties are obsolete as to their physical condition and other factors, making them unsuitable for their intended purpose; and that regrettably no reasonable program of modification or public housing resource from HUD is available including Rental Assistance Demonstration, to restore these developments to their useful life, other than the Housing Choice Vouchers that may become available through the disposition process. Comments on the actual disposition applications will also be accepted at the November 29th public hearing.
Written comments on the Amendment to the FY 2017 MTW Annual Plan may be submitted by mail or email by 5 PM, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 to: Margaret Donnelly Moran, Director of Planning and Development, Cambridge Housing Authority, 362 Green Street, Cambridge, MA 02139 or via email: email@example.com.
