CAMBRIDGE HOUSING AUTHORITY INVITATION TO BID

SOLID WASTE PICK-UP AND DISPOSAL AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS

The Cambridge Housing Authority, the Owner and Managing Agent for its affiliate properties, is seeking bids to provide Solid Waste Pick-up and Disposal at Various Locations, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by the Cambridge Housing Authority.

The project consists of the weekly pick-up and disposal of waste from eleven (11) sites scattered in and around the Cambridge area. The amount of weekly pick-ups will depend on the size of the development. See Attachment I-Price Sheet for schedule.

All bids are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30B. The not-to-exceed value of this contract is $200,000 and the term of the contract will be for two years, or until the funds are expended, whichever occurs first.

The Invitation to Bid will be available on Monday, July 17, 2023 after 10:00AM. Bidders may obtain the ITB ELECTRONICALLY by contacting Dawn Brown, Purchasing Agent, at dbrown@cambridge-housing.org.

Bids for this project will be submitted electronically. The deadline for submission is Thursday, August 3, 2023 by 11:00 AM.

The time of acceptance of the bid by the Cambridge Housing Authority is 30 days from the deadline date for submissions. Contract will be awarded to the reliable and responsible bidder who offers the lowest price. Award of the contract is conditioned on approval by the Cambridge Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners.

All other applicable state laws, municipal ordinances, and rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout and will be deemed to be included in the contract as if written out in full.

The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding if it is in the public interest to do so. The Cambridge Housing Authority also reserves the right to reject the bids if less than three bids are received.

Any vendor interested in visiting the CHA developments, please contact Dawn Brown at dbrown@cambridge-housing.org before Wednesday, July 26, 2023 to make arrangements.

Bidders shall promptly notify the Cambridge Housing Authority in writing, of any ambiguity, inconsistency, or error, which may be discovered upon examination of the bid documents. No interpretations of the meaning of the specification or other pre-bid documents shall be made to any bidder orally. All requests for clarification or interpretation must be submitted in writing by Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Requests should be sent to the following individual:
