Fresh Meal Program Bid Solicitation

Fresh Meals Program RFS Addendum 1

The Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA), Owner and Managing Agent for its affiliate properties, is
seeking qualified caterers, food service companies, and food service management companies (“Vendors”) with relevant experience to launch a Fresh Meal Program at designated elderly properties in Cambridge, MA owned and operated by the CHA. The CHA has received a $750,000 grant from the City of Cambridge American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) to launch this program. Participating CHA sites include Lyndon B. Johnson Apartments (177 households), Frank J. Manning Apartments (205 households), Daniel F. Burns Apartments (198 households), and Millers River Apartments (300 households). The CHA estimates approximately 20% of households will participate in the program, or up to 176 households across the four sites. The CHA has newly renovated commercial kitchens available for exclusive use by the Vendor.

The goal of this RFS is to attract the highest quality Vendor who can meet the proposed scope of
services. The contract period is two years, with the option to renew it for one-year terms at the
sole discretion of the CHA. The CHA is issuing this RFS with the intent to hire up to four (4)
total Vendors, or one (1) Vendor for up to four (4) sites. The CHA reserves the right to select a
Vendor for one or more of the participating sites. As a result, interested Vendors must submit
proposals for each site individually. Vendors may submit proposals for one or more sites.
