LANDSCAPE SERVICES FOR MAINTENANCE AND

REPAIR AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS

The Cambridge Housing Authority, as Owner and Managing Agent for its Affiliate Properties, invites sealed bids for Landscape Services for Maintenance and Repairs at Various Locations, in Cambridge, MA in accordance with the specifications prepared by the Cambridge Housing Authority.

The awarded contractor will be responsible for providing the CHA with a variety of landscape services on an as-needed basis.  The work will include, but not be limited to, pruning trees; weed control; removal of trees, stumps and plants; provide sand/salt for snow removal; mulching, etc.

The not-to-exceed value of this contract is $125,000 and the term of this contract will be for a period of two years, or when the funds are fully expended, whichever occurs first.  Bids are subject to MGL Chapter 30, §39M and to the Davis Bacon wage rates attached to the bid documents.

The bid documents will be available electronically beginning Wednesday, January 25, 2023 after 10:00 AM.  There is no charge for the bid documents which will be e-mailed upon request to Donna Gallant at:  dgallant@cambridge-housing.org or Dawn Brown at:  dbrown@cambridge-housing.org. Please include the company name, address, telephone number, and contact person in the request.

General Bids will be received at the Cambridge Housing Authority, 362 Green Street, 3rd floor, Cambridge, MA 02139 until Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM and opened forthwith. Bids that are mailed should be in a sealed envelope clearly marked: BID FOR Landscape Services for Maintenance and Repairs at Various Locations, and addressed to: Cambridge Housing Authority, 362 Green Street, 3rd floor, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02139 ATTN: Purchasing Department with the name of the firm submitting the bid.

The time of acceptance of the bid by the Cambridge Housing Authority is 30 days from the date of the bid opening.  Award of the contract is conditioned on approval by the Cambridge Housing Authority’s Executive Director.  The contract is subject to appropriation of adequate funds, and may be cancelled in the event such funds are not available.  Award of contract will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest price.

Every General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Deposit not less than five (5%) of the not-to-exceed value of this contract payable to the Cambridge Housing Authority in the form of cash, a certified check, bid bond, treasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company.  The awarded contractor will be required to provide a Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the value of this contract.
