In order to best fit the needs of those who live, work, and play in Cambridge, the City of Cambridge has launched an online space seeking public input to help guide their search for selecting the City’s next City Manager.
Current City Manager, Louis A. DePasquale, is set to retire July 5, 2022 and has served in the position since 2016.
According to the City Manager Search website, the City will “use this feedback to create a leadership profile of the next City Manager, so our search firm, Randi Frank Consulting, knows what type of person we’re looking for.”
Several frontline efforts to engage with residents for direct feedback are planned, including a public town hall meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 16th, at 6PM, to be held virtually and in-person.

The website also features a timeline of the process, which can be viewed here.
The City is hopeful to hire a new City Manager by May 2022.
